Steve Tapper and Shelley Otis are a wooden flute and folk harp duo from Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to the Irish, Scottish, and American folk songs one would expect, their repertoire includes unique and delightful arrangements of music from all over the world, popular songs, jazz, classical pieces, and original compositions.

Their music is effective in a variety of situations, including weddings and other celebrations, coffeehouses and concerts, programs for children or seniors, various kinds of religious services, and as unobtrusive background music.

In this duo, Steve plays Renaissance flute, Baroque flute, Irish flute, Native American flute, recorder, and bass guitar. Most songs are instrumental, while some feature Shelley’s singing. Shelley also plays mountain dulcimer, piano, and recorder.
